Do you think that Putin is ginning up a world wide communist government?
I think this focuses too hard on Putin himself, as he is merely the visible head of a larger monster. If you got rid of him, it would change nothing, as the deeper problem is the hidden soviet structures that have yet to be dismantled and are growing.
A Russian think-thank recently noted that Russia has been preparing for a world war for many years now, and they fingered Ukraine as integral for Russia's modernization and war preparations. Russia has intellectuals who openly promote invading France and renaming it Gaul, and also discuss different ways in which they may cause the United States to collapse, so that they may establish a new empire. China, also, is preparing its military for confrontation, and the designated targets are always American ones, our ships, our forces, our country.
Meanwhile, Russia is still funding and aiding communist movements across the world, and many of our current leaders have known connections to Communist front-groups established by the KGB during the cold war.
The writing is on the wall for those who look.
