Murray County Deputy Greg Morrison put his arm around the FULL TITLE: Officer has face mauled by police K9 when he tried to take selfie with it
AA Georgia deputy sheriff was rushed to the hospital Monday after a police bit his face, ripping open his chin and lip. Murray County Deputy Greg Morrison put his arm around the Malinois after a job well done in an attempt to take a selfie with his cell phone. But the professional pup was in no mood for camaraderie and proved it with a vicious snap at Morrison's chin. 'Its an act of aggression to them whenever you do that,' Major Greg Fowler told the Dalton Daily Citizen, referring to Morrison's ill advised decision to wrap an arm around the dog.

Your “expertise” is utter BS.
Clearly you know nothing about dogs. Maybe you should buy a goldfish.
For example the pit in the top picture wasn’t my dog. I had never seen it before and being blind he ambled around until he bumped into me and I gave him a big hug. He wouldn’t leave my side until his owners came and got him. Why didn’t the pit bite the baby?
If anything you posted was correct NOBODY would own a dog. They certainly would never allow one around their kids.
I could decimate every piece of advice you have given on this thread but you have your wee hackles up because you know I am right so you are going to act like a three year old.
After reading your posts I should have expected you to act like a liberal.
Can you even read?
All animals will bite under the right circumstances so to narrow it down to just dogs is buffoonery.
Posting to you about dogs is no different than showing a chicken a card trick. It is a waste of time because like the chicken you just don’t get it.
“Possibly, but more likely that the dog interpreted the cop being so close as a threat.”
Wouldn’t you? He knows who he is working with.
He was so cute everyone wanted to hug his little four pound body.
In just two years he bit 7000 people on the face killing most of them.
We were told to never put our head over a dogs so we spent countless years crawling around the house on our bellies to appease him as dogs are of course the boss of all people.
;<)
You would have loved him!
I have a picture of Jim Rob hugging him but I am to frustrated to look for it.
Maybe the dog heard how many other dogs cops have shot?
Did you get your jollies telling me (and others) how stupid my vet’s statement was? Good. Carry on.
It is called education.
Look it up.
I won’t stand by when people pretending to be experts post BS about dogs.
Maybe you should do two things.
1) Find out if he is really a vet.
2) If he really is a vet show him this thread.
With his advice I take it one should never hug a dog but a crocodile is cool to hug.
A funny aside, all dogs hate to be hugged but I am so good according to MarMema I have taught ALL of mine to love it.
So I guess if I have done what cannot be done I really am the dog whisperer.
Hell, I am typing this with one hand as I have a dog in my lap right now. I am hugging it with my other arm.
Walking away shaking head and about to hug my six dogs as a way to commit suicide.
Yes, I understand that after he killed you in 2001 that he went on to rampage all over Texas. RIP, the 7,000 people.
Gunner gave me a picture of himself, you holding Phudd, and JimRob. I don’t have the one of Jim holding Phudd, though. I looked. (hint, hint)
Best book on dog language, ever.
The horror!!!
;]
Worse than that, apparently there was really no dog involved at all.
“A Georgia deputy sheriff was rushed to the hospital Monday after a police bit his face”
Damn police.
It keeps them humble. :)
He had to.
The chocolates and flowers did not impress.
;]
His mistakes:
1) He hugged them.
2) They HATE green leashes.
Oh wait, a News Flash just came in. He adopted them and they love hugs.
Didn’t Devo make a song based on you?
You post photos as evidence of what a dog is feeling but then castigate others for doing the same thing.
Most dogs seem to tolerate hugs in the same way a teenager does from Mom or Dad. They recognize it as an expresssion of affection and enjoy receiving it on that level, but for the dog, a treat, or for the teenager, a raise in their allowance, would be more preferable.
If they seek them out, then it’s for some other reward - could just be a scratch behind the ears - but something other than just the hug.
