If you hire an illegal you are fined 50% of your last three years profits averaged. You erect a wall (not a fence) on the southern border. This is now required because so much of the cross border traffic now is not just labor movement.

I would allow adults who have grown up here from childhood to stay but only as legal residents. I would not grant citizenship for 6 generations.
Conservatives will vote for this platform. If you are confident and clearly on message the mushy middle will vote for this platform. If you are a gutless, sniveling, defensive, standard issue RINO you will lose.
Look at every poll on this issue. Talk about the Repugs snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
This issue hangs around because every professional married couple in the major metropolitan areas has a nanny, a housekeeper, a lawn boy, pool boy, clean-up crew, carpenter-on-call, etc., and they love to have all of these at half price. They are the ones who need to be brought out into the sunshine. I know for a fact (personally know) that at least one mid-level IRS official in the D.C. area pays her housekeeper cash and knows full well that this employee does not, CANNOT declare income.
