Obama worked closely with Ayers Working at the Chicago Annenberg Challenge in 1995, Obama had a close relationship with Ayers, according to the CAC’s own archived records. The records also show Obama’s and Ayers’ foundation granted money to radical leftist activist causes.

Ms Leff is a well trained ideological issue of the 1960s Marxist-Alinksy campus radical, psycho spoiled brats (some of them pictured above). During much of the 1980’s and early 1990’s she was a senior producer at ABC News NIGHTLINE, ABC News WORLD NEWS TONIGHT, and ABC News 20/20. Leff graduated from Princeton in 1973 and earned a J.D. in 1977 from the University of Chicago Law School.

Evidently Dorn is seeking a pardon for shooting the cop, because she was never arrested/tried. Oh well, an innocent person would not need a pardon, would they? (sarc)

The Justice Department announced Wednesday that Deborah Leff, currently a senior adviser to Attorney General Eric Holder, will take over the Office of the Pardon Attorney, where she will oversee vetting federal inmate applicants for presidential grants of clemency.

Let it never be forgotten that Holder was the one who walked the Marc Rich pardon through Clinton's Justice Dept., and heavy were the bribes therefrom, with no action by Congress to do anything about it. Leff will not just be arranging the pardons of various left wing terrorists and garden variety cop killers, she will be in charge of turning the handle on the clemency money machine as well. Watch it happen. (This won't be covered by our Magnificent Media either).

In America, at least in certain quarters thereof, our fellow citizens have a history of rehabilitating terrorists and restoring them to places of honor.

President Barack Obama knows something about this. It was no more than fifteen years after Bill Ayers walked away — “Guilty as hell. Free as a bird.” — from his 1970’s career as an underground bomber that he became Obama’s mentor, political adviser, and literary ghost. Ayers went on to become a distinguished professor of education at the University of Illinois and a much-sought after speaker at educational conferences around the country. Chin up, Dzhokhar!

During the 2008 election cycle, of course, the media did not want to know about any of this. Ben Smith, then of Politico, had reported as fact Obama adviser David Axelrod’s claim that the Obama-Ayers relationship went no deeper than the happenstance that their children “attend the same school.” True, upon learning that Obama’s oldest child was born 18 years after Ayers’ youngest, Smith added a comically circuitous “update,” but the media shied from chasing the story or even chiding Axelrod.

At the time, however, ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, as a former Clinton aide, had his own agenda. During an April 2008 presidential debate, he asked Obama about Ayers. “He was part of the Weather Underground in the 1970s,” Stephanopoulos reminded the audience. “They bombed the Pentagon, the Capitol, and other buildings. He’s never apologized for that.” He then asked Obama, “Can you explain that relationship for the voters and explain to Democrats why it won’t be a problem?”

“I know not the man,” Obama replied — no, excuse me, that was Peter on the subject of Jesus. On the subject of Ayers, Obama proved only slightly more straightforward. “This is a guy who lives in my neighborhood,” said Obama for the ages. “He’s not somebody who [sic] I exchange ideas from [sic] on a regular basis.”

Now the DoJ will really put an end to that pesky little matter of the Ayers killing a San Francisco police sergeant.

The Ayers say that they didn't do it but I'd like to hear a jury say it.. not much of a chance of that.. alas they are arguably now "the Establishment" that includes the federal government, MSM and other bratty issue of 1960s Marxist-Alinsky campus spoiled brats.

"The San Francisco Police Officers Association's leadership has been told to muzzle it after signing a letter accusing onetime Weather Underground radical Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, of being behind the nearly 40-year-old bombing at a San Francisco police station that killed a sergeant.

"We hear that both U.S. Justice Department reps and Police Chief Heather Fong put in calls to the union to find out just what they were doing talking out of school about an active investigation that may be ready to make a move soon in the 1970 bombing at Park Station. The word was, button your lips.

"Police Officers Association President Gary Delagnes confirmed that his union got a call from federal investigators telling them they had an 'active investigation and should not be commenting on the case.' Delagnes said the letter was meant only to show support for the family of the slain officer, Sgt. Brian McDonnell, and to help them 'bring closure to the case.'

Eric Holder pushed for controversial clemency for terrorists

WASHINGTON — Attorney general nominee Eric H. Holder Jr. repeatedly pushed some of his subordinates at the Clinton Justice Department to drop their opposition to a controversial 1999 grant of clemency to 16 members of two violent Puerto Rican nationalist organizations, according to interviews and documents.

Details of the role played by Holder, who was deputy attorney general at the time, had not been publicly known until now. The new details are of particular interest because Republican senators have vowed to revisit Holder’s role during his confirmation hearings next week.

Holder had no comment for this article, but a spokesman for President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team said Holder’s actions were appropriate.

President Clinton’s decision to commute prison terms caused an uproar at the time. Holder was called before Congress to explain his role but declined to answer numerous questions from angry lawmakers demanding to know why the Justice Department had not sided with the FBI, federal prosecutors and other law enforcement officials, who were vehemently opposed to the grants.

Some religious groups and influential individuals, including President Carter, had endorsed the commutations. But Clinton’s decision outraged law enforcement officials, who had tried to contain a bombing campaign in New York, Chicago and elsewhere in the 1970s and 1980s by groups seeking independence for Puerto Rico from the United States.
New interviews and an examination of previously undisclosed documents indicate that Holder played an active role in changing the position of the Justice Department on the commutations.

Holder instructed his staff at Justice’s Office of the Pardon Attorney to effectively replace the department’s original report recommending against any commutations, which had been sent to the White House in 1996, with one that favored clemency for at least half the prisoners, according to these interviews and documents.

And after Pardon Attorney Roger Adams resisted, Holder’s chief of staff instructed him to draft a neutral “options memo” instead, Adams said.

The options memo allowed Clinton to grant the commutations without appearing to go against the Justice Department’s wishes, Adams and his predecessor, Margaret Colgate Love, said in their first public comments on the case.

“I remember this well, because it was such a big deal to consider clemency for a group of people convicted of such heinous crimes,” said Adams, the agency’s top pardon lawyer from 1997 until 2008. He said he told Holder of his “strong opposition to any clemency in several internal memos and a draft report recommending denial” and in at least one face-to-face meeting. But each time Holder wasn’t satisfied, Adams said.

The 16 members of the FALN (the Spanish acronym for Armed Forces of National Liberation) and Los Macheteros had been convicted in Chicago and Hartford variously of bank robbery, possession of explosives and participating in a seditious conspiracy. Overall, the two groups had been linked by the FBI to more than 130 bombings, several armed robberies, six slayings and hundreds of injuries.

A spokesman for the Obama transition, Nick Shapiro, confirmed that Holder asked for the “options memo” that preceded the clemency:
