They looked at the plummeting violent crime rates in Los Angeles as illegals began displacing blacks starting in the early 90’s. They decided to take this low-budget urban renewal program national regardless of its effects on smaller cities (ex: Palmdale, CA) - because the “people who matter” don’t live there, anyway. They don’t dare name their plan accurately, however, so we instead hear talk of “hard work” and “uniting families” and “compassion.”
That’s an astute observation. The same thing has happened in NYC, as high crime black Americans are replaced by a host of lower crime immigrant groups: Chinese, Mexicans, Indians, West Indians etc.
At the same time, crime in Newark, Trenton, Camden and many smaller cities in upstate NY, Western Mass. and Eastern PA are through the roof.
