I’m going to be posting more NR so Freepers can see just how bad it has become. One of their editors attacked the invaluable Mark Steyn recently for the sin of “homophobia.”
They lost the plot years ago, but lately, the ridiculousness of it has been coming into sharper relief.
One would think that NR would have rallied to the Tea Party. But they are maintaining a strained “neutrality,” refusing to side against the establishment. Generally, they try to avoid controversial issues and run a lot of puff pieces on establishment “personalities.”
It’s getting more and more like a bad college paper.
Please keep posting NRO articles. I stopped reading NRO a while back because, well...they’re NRO and that means “compassionate conservative” mentality. They’re the news magazine for Jeb Bush and John McCain admirers.
When they blasted John Derbyshire, and called him a racist, for his excellent article about “The Talk” (http://takimag.com/article/the_talk_nonblack_version_john_derbyshire#axzz1rJPlABLB) in Taki’s Magazine —and fired him for it — that was enough for me.
