"Ive always said that the Bible verse, And God said, Let there be light is the perfect description of the Big Bang, especially when explaining it to early humans." Actually, that release of photons occurred a whole 380,000 years after the creation -- and after inflation (the "big bang") -- when the temperature of the expanding universe dropped to 3,000 degrees Kelvin.
When the initial plasma reached that neo-universal temperature, protons and electrons were finally able to combine into hydrogen -- allowing free photons to escape.
