It is becoming increasingly hard to tell whether Obamacare is the law of the land, or just the law of the parts of the land that dont reside in (or arent in the good graces of) the executive branch. One wonders: Is it really too much to expect an administration that championed the passage of a 2,700-page overhaul of American medicine to live by the same law it was so eager to impose on others?
The Congressional Research Service (CRS)(has just released a memo (posted here at the 2017 Project) listing deadlines that Obamacare imposed on the Obama administrationor, if you prefer, that the Obama administration imposed on itself through Obamacareand reporting whether the administration has met them or not. To date, it appears that the administration has missed 25 deadlines that it was required, as a matter of lawas a matter of the presidents signature lawto meet.
[snip] Regardless, President Obama and his congressional allies collectively thought that each of these things was important enough to add yet another paragraph, or yet another page, to the bloated epic/tragedy that is Obamacare. And they required, by law, that the executive branch fulfill these tasks on schedule.

if they don’t obey the law, why should we?
they don’t like it, so it’s ok to ignore it?
funny, just about everyone hates tax law. why don’t we all start ignoring those?
Who is John Galt?
Has anybody been fired or jailed over this?
Didn’t think so.
Thats Racist!
exactly.
if govt won’t live by their law, they have no right to demand citizens do, either. they are just people like us.
also, if govt decides it won’t enforce certain laws of the land, we can also be selective in what laws we’re going to recognize and which ones we’ll ignore
as well.
LOL
I’m confused. If Bundy in Nevada “doesn’t have a legal leg to stand on” gets armed BLM jerks to point guns at him why haven’t HHS sent some to the Oval Office?
