Thats exactly what I said. I said Im wondering if theyre better off under government subsidy, and their young women are having the abortions and their young men are in jail, and their older women and their children are standing, sitting out on the cement porch without nothing to do, you know, Im wondering: Are they happier now under this government subsidy system than they were when they were slaves, and they was able to have their family structure together, and the chickens and garden, and the people had something to do? And so, in my mind Im wondering, are they better off being slaves, in that sense, or better off being slaves to the United States government, in the sense of the subsidies. Im wondering. Thats what. And the statement was right. I am wondering.
You continually refer to your rancher friends and family who will not be pleased by this, or will be thinking that Cliven Bundy's an idiot, etc., etc.
The "Lefty Racism dog whistle" makes people react in the exact manner you describe. The logical, critical portions of their brains shut off in response to the mere leveling of the charge of "racism", backed up by a thin gruel of "proof".
The dog-whistled stampede away from the newly anointed "Racism Leper", not bothering to question the motives of the accuser, nor indeed questioning too closely the "triggering event", for if they did, they too would become "Racism Lepers".
I have no use for such people, because they can be manipulated at will not just on this issue, but likely on others as well.
I've likened it to a computer malware infection.
This incident is a smear job by a professional media word-sniper. Just read the original NYT article, and you'll see.
You say that you "wouldnt be surprised if they [your rancher friends] thought of him [Cliven Bundy] as an idiot right about now".
You have to remember that six years after a battalion of professional media word-snipers did their deadly work on Sarah Palin, a significant portion of the country still thinks of her as "an idiot".
Of course, you'll win no fans among your friends and family pointing out how their minds have been tampered with, so I don't envy if you try...
Frankly, I see the “bigger point” clearly. As a matter of fact, I stated as much in my comments. I said that the MSM baited Mr. Bundy, and he made the mistake of answering. Or at the very least, he didn’t stop to consider how he should answer.
We all know the MSM playbook by heart. This is precisely why I addressed the problem concerning Mr. Bundy’s remarks.
There are people who have traveled from all over the country in order to support Mr. Bundy and his family. There are Americans who have and will place their very lives at risk for the sake of Mr. Bundy’s Constitution rights and what these people believe to be the blatant abuse of authority.
We also realize that there’s a bigger issue here than just the rancher and his family, cattle, grazing, and land. Mr. Bundy’s defiance resonates with a lot of Americans who are tired of the BLM and Feds abusing their power.
As a result of this confrontation, and Mr. Bundy’s voluntary and willing appearance before the press, he assumes a position of public influence. He must than hold himself to a certain degree of high conduct and character; especially when there are people who may die as a result of this ongoing situation.

well, problem is that welfare slavery is a choice...whereas slavery was not. Huge difference.
“...continually refer...”
Continually? Hardly
You failed miserably in trying to prove by any substantiation that I apparently responded to “Lefty Racism”. Rather, you spent most of your post on expounding diatribes, and attempted to use mixed metaphors no less.
Pointing out that comments concerning slavery are imprudent in light of a situation which has absolutely nothing to do with the current confrontation, and that such comments could be detrimental isn’t responding to “Lefty Racism” at all.
worse than slavery in effect...but still a choice...big difference.
Excellent statement. Thank you for being clear and concise.
your welcome..thank you.
Sure, welfare slavery is a choice. Like that first dose of heroin...and you can quit at any time....
not quite like heroine...we all feel crappy when we don’t work and most all of them are able to work. Bad comparison.
Mom ends up single (again). Might be because boyfriend/hubby was a worthless jerk, he might be in jail, have died, whatever.
Maybe he just got laid off and she, seeking help was told by the social services people that as long as he was home she wouldn't get any benefits, so she finds a reason to kick him out (easy to do or provoke).
She can't pay the bills. Goes to get help and they set her up. Subsidized housing, food stamps, medicaid, check every month. That's the needle.
Now try to work out of that.
If she makes too much, the benefits she loses are worth multiples of the extra she might make.
She can't afford to quit welfare, short of finding 'the right guy' and getting out of the projects.
She can't work, or she'll make too much.
Chances of finding the 'right guy': slim to none--she's in the projects, and few worthwhile guys are shopping there for a lifelong mate.
Add a couple of generations to that, with no guy there to serve as a role model, nothing to instill a work ethic, and surrounded by negative role models, and there is a parasitic mindset, determined to get the benefits they deserve. Multigenerational welfare recipients know the rule book better than the people who administer the programs. A work ethic, at that point, is for suckas, when there is cash to be made on the side dealing, pimping, whatever.
A different set of 'values' creeps in and takes root--and it has.
For those of us raised in families where going on Welfare is still considered as warmly as the plague, yes, the work ethic persists, but it is being bulldozed in sectors of America, along with the factories and jobs that used to be here, and in some areas, the parasitic mindset is endemic.
Your little Obama operation isn't working anymore. Get lost.
Quit pretending that you're some "reasonable" debater.
(BTW - it's a "dog whistle", not "Lefty Racism". "Lefty Racism" is just the flavour of the dog whistle.)
*The Internet rebuttal: "No, it's not. It's the exact opposite of what you said. So there."
This Just In is a phony.
I pointed out to him that they pulled the same "idiot" crap on Sarah Palin, and I got "Talk To The Hand" as a response.
He's dishonest.
Oh, BTW, This Just In, Uncle Sham had a question for you:
You did not answer my question.
What was not true about whatever Bundy implied or said?
************
Waiting for the reply to your question.
Well the Leftards have won this round as we are all talking about racism now and not govt stealing land and cows. :-)
You cut right to the heart of the matter.
However! We may be able to use this to smear these kind of hand-wringing responses as "barking at Leftist dog whistles" or "infection with Racism! malware".
Interestingly, I find myself unconcerned with what Cliven Bundy said, and I think that you and no doubt others are similarly unconcerned.
They pulled this exact same crap on Sarah Palin, but I don't think they ever tagged her with the "Racism!" card.
Of course, she is an "idiot" forever and ever, while Chief Slave Overseer and Sub-Assistant Idiot Harry Reid continues to spew his addled, racist, hateful bile to an adoring media, which laps up his vomit like it's nectar...
Bundy did the right thing by standing on what he said. If you say something and you believe its valid don’t back down just because someone attacks you for it.
I had to laugh because I could Picture Sean Hannity wringing his hands together fearing he would be fired from his million dollar job on Fox News. And all because of what someone else said. The so called crusaders for freedom are just as cowed by the leftards as everyone else.
Yes, but there are millions of “negroes” who take advantage of their freedom and work, with millions in their own business. So Cliven generalized about a minority of blacks which sounded quite racist.
(Keep in mind that while "Negro" is a racial term, like "Caucasian", it is not racist.)
Do you have the data to compare the numbers? (I, admittedly do not know how many are employed in their own business versus in prison or on the dole). The only numbers I have seen show that black males are disproportionately represented in the ranks of the unemployed and those in prison, but not as CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.
Cliven's generalizations are true enough for a multitude, and those are the people he was referring to--those on the Democrat Plantation.
Ah yes, I have bee accused of such. Fortunately the barking of chained dogs bothers me not. I walk on secure in the knowledge that their noise is meaningless and I am going the right way.
