An apology is not enough. Heads need to roll, starting with the abusive teacher, followed by the administrators. Sue them first - as individual defendants, not the school - then have them fired.

I wish I was in that meeting so I could clap along with him. Good for Grand Island for recognizing that Kinney's T-shirt was harmless and for ultimately ruling in free speech's favor.

I couldn't disagree more. This is like applauding a thief who's been forced to return some of your stolen good. Tar and feather them instead.

I would call this a “First Amendment victory,” not a Second Amendment victory. The real Second Amendment victory will come when a kid sues a school for suspending him for driving to school with his hunting rifle in the truck and the court siding with the kid.

It's not often the Second Amendment scores a victory in the state of New York, but they got one on Tuesday when the Grand Island School district decided to reverse its decision to suspend a student for wearing a T-shirt with the NRA logo.

Hate to be picky (well, I don't actually HATE it, but...) but this is a first amendment issue. If no one is allowed to wear logos or messages, no problem. But if a particular viewpoint is attacked while others stand, hello amendment #1!
