Exactly! They already think they own it, now they are just going to decide how they are going to control it. They’ll have theri public hearings, and then proceed to attempt to do what they darn well please.

It has been and is reported the Bureau of Land Management is not a government agency, it is a privately owned concern.

If true it changes things.

???

Why doesn’t Perry do something about this. BYW, looks like it happened under Reagan?

The Bureau of Land Management is an agency within the U.S. Department of the Interior. It is most assuredly a government agency.

reported where? BLM is a division of the Department of the Interior. It is 100% a federal government agency.

http://www.interior.gov/whoweare/index.cfm

The U.S. Department of the Interior is a Cabinet-level agency that manages America's vast natural and cultural resources. Secretary of Interior Sally Jewell heads our department, which employs 70,000 people, including expert scientists and resource-management professionals, in nine technical bureaus:

Bureau of Indian Affairs
Bureau of Land Management
Bureau of Ocean Energy Management
Bureau of Reclamation
Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement
National Park Service
Office of Surface Mining, Reclamation and Enforcement
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
U.S. Geological Survey

Strange that the BLM is after part of a major river...water issues are getting hotter in the West.

Not really, considering. Control the water, you control the land. One has no utility without the other.
