I came of age during Viet Nam when the drinking age was lowered to 18 because if boys could die in a hated war they could at least have a beer publicly before they were drafted.
She makes an excellent case for the problems of binge drinking on campuses, marijuana use and texting while driving - which is now killing more people than drunks!

The legal definition of 'alcohol-related' has been expanded in some states to the point of absurdity. i.e. Open container even if driver was sober and container was empty.- still alcohol 'related'. Screw MADD!
