Such talent.....he managed to alienate the entire evangelical vote with one statement in a stupid attempt to appeal to people who would never vote for him.

Nice job idiot.

Life doesn’t begin at conception.

Life began thousands or billions of years ago, depending on your beliefs.

The egg and sperm cells that participate in the conception are both alive prior to the conception, and the fertilized egg is likewise alive after the conception.

Rand Paul is trying to position himself as a centrist as he sees Jeb Bush as his #1 rival for the 2016 nomination, imho.

I threw Rand Paul in the trash some time ago. He is no more a conservative than his father, Ron Paul.

No principles, no morals, no truths that he won’t throw under the bus if it suits his political convenience. Not the kind of guy you want to vote into office, because once he’s in, he’ll do what he damned well likes.

And he won the CPAC vote just like his dad did—by busing in gangs of pot-smoking libertarians to vote for him. Most likely the same guys who showed up every year to vote for Ron.

He needs to read the Scott Peterson verdict. Convicted of two counts of 1st Degree Murder for murdering his wife and his unborn child that the wife was carrying. Rand Paul, with that statement, killed any chance of being a legitimate contender for the republican nomination. He’ll either run as a libertarian or on the Green Party ticket.

So... Rand Paul is a pro-abort. One more reason why he becomes absolutely unacceptable as a presidential candidate.

Sorry, buddy....you can not claim to be pro-life and at the same time claim it should not be an issue.
You and your other libertarian cohorts are the reason I still register as republican.
If you can’t stand for life 100% and strong defense.....wither and die.

To paraphrase a comment by, I believe, Michael Ledeen,

Rand Paul is first, most, and primarily a Libertarian. He only talks conservative when it coincides with libertarianism.

Oddly enough, I think he might win without us (I can’t support him) and then power through a personhood amendment because he owes it to God. The Lord moves in mysterious ways.

Rand Paul is a moron. Typical libertarian that is now saying there is no scientific evidence that life begins a conception.

Interesting that you didn't even watch the interview and accepted the author's paraphrase (lack of quotes means it is not a quote) of what he said. He actually said that, "my personal and religious view is that life begins at conception." He never used the word science, or suggested that this is not also a scientific view, the author simply made that up out of whole cloth, assuming that if something is a personal and religious view it cannot also be a scientific view.

Well, God is real busy with 7.3 billion people living and 1.3 billion in heaven so we may have to fend for ourselves and vote for a winner. If we are wrong and it is a sin,God fogave us from our sins on the Cross.

Here is an actual quote from Rand Paul, from his own website; show me any other candidate who has put his money where his mouth is and introduced such a bill.

"I am 100% pro-life. I believe life begins at conception and that abortion takes the life of an innocent human being. It is the duty of our government to protect this life as a right guaranteed under the Constitution. For this reason, I introduced S. 583, the Life at Conception Act on March 14, 2013. This bill would extend the Constitutional protection of life to the unborn from the time of conception. It is unconscionable that government would facilitate the taking of innocent life. I have stated many times that I will always support legislation that would end abortion or lead us in the direction of ending abortion. There are many ways we can work toward this ultimate goal and items we can hope to accomplish in the near term. I strongly oppose any federal funding of abortion and will attempt to stop the flow of tax dollars to groups who perform or advocate for abortion.
