It's not evil but you definitely don't want to breath, drink or eat it. It will jack you up.
i think right now it’s no longer necessary. everything epa or blm is doing is going to be pro-agenda 21 plus any other specific goals per circumstance/incident.
Yes, and it's MUCH more expensive and availability spotty.
But it doesn't have anything to do with whether we mine and smelt lead in the US, and very little to do with the price and availability of lead.
A good bullet cots 40-50 cents each. A good rifle cartridge costs "about" a dollar.
The price of lead would contribute about 5%.
And there are thousands of tons available.
Stock up!
Ouch, the list is getting too long.
When I have any blood work done, my doctor always does a test for lead. The levels always come back as low or very low.
The secret is; do not let the temperature get above what it takes to get good mold fill out. When smelting wheel weights, keep the temp below 650 degrees F. This prevents the lead from vaporizing. It also has the added benefit of being too cold to melt zinc, you simply skim it off with the dross.
This article is bunk. I have heard from the head of Sierra Bullets that they do not use virgin lead in their ammo; they have to have a very specific grade, which most often comes from recycled batteries. This lead refinery closing does not affect ammo prices one penny.
