A member of the Oklahoma House is drafting a resolution seeking the impeachment of state Supreme Court justices who granted a delay of execution to two death-row inmates.
Republican state Rep. Mike Christian told The Associated Press on Wednesday that five justices engaged in a willful neglect of duty.

Throw the elite bastards out!
That’s what it’s going to take to bring the judiciary back in line.
It was the drug injection issue again. Solution: Didnt the libs give us the solution in the Terri Schiavo incident? Starving is humane and even euphoric.
Same thing with our national, state, and local politicians, we need to recall a whole bunch of them, and get the ball rolling.
AWESOME!
good
who the hell cares who makes the chemicals they are put to death with?
Next they will want to know what ingredients were used, then the suppliers of thos ingredients, then the people who made the cars who drove the maunfacturewrs to work...
If it was death by hanging would they demand to know who made the rope? OR which gun if it was a firing squad?
This is just a lame excuse to prevent the death of a known criminal, but these same judges probably love killing babies
Idiotic. That’s the role of a judge. If you resort to “I’ll impeach!” just because you don’t like something ... well I guess anarchy appeals to some people.
The role of a judge is to be an activist?
Holding the judges accountable in applying the law is the same as having no law at all?
>>Idiotic. Thats the role of a judge. <<
No, the role of a judge is to apply the law as written, using judgement when the law is unclear or where two laws conflict.
In this case, and in most cases involving the U.S. Supreme Court, activist judges do not apply the law (or their respective Constitutions) as written, but seek to rewrite it themselves via creative interpretations.
I hope this impeachment proceeds and succeeds, and that it spreads to other states, and finally to the U.S. Supreme Court. Only when a sitting justice is embarrassed by a successful impeachment will we have some chance of reining in judicial activism.
Probably half the judges in the country need to be impeached.
Half the judges in this country don’t even understand the laws.
You don’t have to be a lawyer to be a judge.
Thanks Olog-hai.
Seems reasonable. Even if a state is STUPID ENOUGH to let Democrats be judges, those same judges need to be held ACCOUNTABLE.
And he should file articles of impeachment and they should be impeached.
That's ridiculous.
Probably half the judges in the country need to be impeached.
Or something...maybe even more than half.
“You dont have to be a lawyer to be a judge.”
I didn’t say you did. One doesn’t have to be a lawyer to be a legislator or policeman or a sports referee either. But one should be qualified and know something about the rule of law to preside over a court.
A bad analogy would be a football field judge who did not know the rules of football. As a field judge he is free to make his decisions based on the rules of the game, not change the rules to support his decisions. If he doesn’t know those rules, he’s not qualified to be a football referee.
Many judges change, not follow the meaning of the law as it was written, in order to support their decisions. Some deliberately, for political reasons, some erroneously because they didn’t understand the law or its intention.
But that’s why we have an appellate process. Regardless, judges whose decisions are overturned repeatedly on appeal should be removed. It is an indication that they do not know the law.
I should have said some of them aren’t qualified to preside over a court of law. Although lately, it seems like about half of them are not qualified.
