The Blaze radio host Glenn Beck revealed on Monday that he deeply regrets giving Mitt Romney the gift he gave him when the former Massachusetts governor ran for president. Beck revealed that he gave Romney a rare, first-edition copy of President George Washingtons farewell address for which he never even received a thank you.
I was trying to cement in his mind, You have run an honorable race, Beck said said, explaining the rationale behind the gift. I dont agree with you on everything. But please understand the time that were in, and if you win, you have to be George Washington.
Beck said that the farewell address lists everything that he believes is wrong with the country right now. He said he gave the copy to Romneys son explaining that this was his personal copy.
Theyre really rare and expensive, and I never even got a thank-you note, Beck said, shaking his head. Never even got a thank-you note. Pisses me off to this day.

Not to mention all the on-air 'yukking it up' shtick with his co-horts Pat and Stu.
Morman church hierarchy in-fighting. :-)
I am disappointed that Beck took that decision after the fact.
Beck recognized You have run an honorable race, and therefore are deserving of a gift. Beck felt if Romney were to win under the difficult circumstances Romney faced he would be like a George Washington.
Beck took the decision to give Romney a gift of his choosing. A gift given is a gift given.
Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it. William Arthur Ward
I have to agree with your point there
So he actually did not give it to Romney, he gave it to one of his sons. Stop whining, Beck.
I never did understand that kind of behavior. Yes, it's probably rude not to thank somebody for a gift but it's not something I would obsess over.
Glenn, maybe it is in your magic undies pocket and you forgot.
Oh dear.
I used to think that Glenn Beck was losing it mentally too, or was a con artist or both. But I’m starting to like and appreciate him again. Sometimes I think that he has the courage to deal with stories and topics that others won’t for whatever reason.
I know he took a position on the Bundy affair that a lot of people didnt like, but at least he talked about it. And he had Cliven Bundy on to present his side.
He will give to the Jeb Bush campaign, too, guaranteed.
Beck is fool for assuming he would be treated with respect by Romney. He is also a fool if he honestly believed Romney conducted his campaign with any sense of decency - especially his primary campaign.
I think that’s a holdover from the morning zoo and cocaine days. It’s one of least attractive features of the show. The bit about Meghan McCain was so bad that I stopped listening for a long time.
I don’t know how a grown man goes around with a name like Jeffy. I always think of that little kid in the Family Circus.
lately seems, he has moved from investigative reporting, connecting the dots... to telling you what to think
UPDATE
Beck just announced on the show that he got a letter from Romney.
That said...I don't listen much to either of them.
HA!!!
Did he literally just get the letter or had he previously received it and had misplaced it?

Beck said he once saw a tweet of Ann Romney reading the rare document, but that doesnt really count as a thank you. He also said he wouldve preferred to see her husband reading it.
