Thanks for getting the point of my feeble attempt at Poetry!
I use poetry as a shorthand method of thought transfer.
Thomas Jefferson is one of my heroes, so thank you for bringing his wisdom into the current discussion.
While politicians continue to try to buy more of votes, we seldom stop to think that is is our greed to get something for nothing that they are using to destroy us.
IOW, we are our own worst enemy.
I do not think 75% of the populous would understand what Jefferson wrote.
