UPDATE The development of lucrative Nevada solar farms (just like the one pictured) is why the tax-financed BLM, whose director is Reid’s former Capitol Hill senior advisor, intends to push Cliven Bundy out of the Gold Butte area the Bundy family has worked for over 140 years. Shockingly--without fear of retribution for gross conflict of BLM/Reid interests---the BLM specifically stated that it wanted Bundy and his cattle out of the area as part of the federally-financed agency’s “regional mitigation strategy for the Dry Lake Solar Energy Zone.”

The federally-financed BLM brazenly attempted a cover-up by deleting public documents exposing its plans from its web site. It is suspected---
but, unfortunately, could not be fully determined as of this writing---if Harry Reid or Rory Reid had colluded with BLM in the brazen cover-up.

However, astute FReepers from the up-to-the-minute news site, Free Republic, were able to capture, and save the the documents, to publicly expose the federal agency's nefarious plans.

So the state-run Democrat media was lying again when they said it was more than a hundred miles between the solar site and Bundy’s ranch. This should be pointed out endlessly for the rest of this week.

No wonder driving Bundy off the land was a priority for the BLM. They need Bundy’s water for the Chinese solar company. In the West and Southwest, it’s always about water.

I'm surprised that more isn't being made of this by those who are supporting Bundy. It's clear that the BLM wants the Bundy land to offset land given away for solar projects.

The feds often violate endangered species habitats by "offsetting" other land to make up for the violation. This makes it OK in the twisted minds of liberal bureaucrats. The "offset" land must remain forever pristine, so the easiest way to get it is to eliminate all other uses for it. In this case, the solar lands destroy turtle habitat, so to make up for it, they are demanding that Bundy remove his cattle from the offsetting lands to provide unmolested turtle habitat. So, everyone wins, the turtles get dry land (that they no longer can survive without moisture provided by cattle dung), the Chinese get their solar technology to steal from the US, and the Reids get their millions. But for the minor detail of stealing land homesteaded by the Bundys a century and a half ago, all is well in Nevada.

Was this groundbreaking previously scheduled? As slimy as Harry Reid and his associates are, I would not put it past them to have organized or move up the ceremony as the first, “This is not over.” response. There will be fatalities. There will be bloodshed. The jack boot of the Federal government will grind hard and long on the necks of people associated with this standoff. Harry Reid and his Progressive Socialist cohorts in the ruling class will absolutely exact revenge for opposing their supplemental income and make this a lesson in not standing against the Federal government.
