Yes. The elephant in the room about BSA is that it’s all really about liability. Even if the BSA were to allow gay leaders in under an explicit zero-tolerance, no strikes policy, they’d still be liable for any assaults/rapes that did occur.

Outstanding post. I never considered that. Unlike the Vatican that has the deep pockets to survive such cases, the BSA will collapse once the sexual predators create multi-million dollar judgments.
And the thing about predators is: they can't help themselves. It's going to happen. Dr. Patrick Carnes describes them as Level 3 sex addicts.
