The hippies back then were always stoned, drunk or high. They also gainsaid [denied, disputed, disagreed with, argued with, dissented from, contradicted, repudiated, challenged, opposed, contested, countered, controverted, rebutted] the "Cleanliness is next to godliness" idea.
The Haight-Ashbury Clinic, in San Francisco, run by doctors who charged nothing for their services and medication, said that, with their hippie patients, both genders, they had seen diseases (from filth) that hadn't been seen or written about since the 14th century.
How LOW can they go--WITHOUT the limbo dance?
