Zhirinovsky, on the other hand, and in my opinion, is more an example of the successful Russian demagogue who has hijacked any possibility of Russia becoming a Democratic and self-governing nation. And despite all the pro-Russian claptrap about religion, Zhirinovsky, like Putin, want the Christian religion only as an ideological gel to hold the neo-Russian empire together and to provide some rationale for their chauvinism. This isn't the religion of Jesus of Nazareth. It's the Christianity of the Ku Klux Klan. It's not the Christianity that sees homosexual acts as a grave sin; it's the religion that thinks the Westboro Baptist Church is onto something and that a theocratic link between church and Putin's party is necessary to stop sodomy.
I'm sorry, but it looks like a distinction with little difference.
Reid, too, is an ideologue, looking to create a communofascist empire run, controlled, and benefiting he and his heirs, claims the mantle of Christianity, under which is actually the atheistic (ultimately) doctrine of Mormonism, and who saves his own Westboro Baptist act not for homosexuals but for those who resist the homosexualization of American society.
Zhirinovsky appears to be a crafty, successful Russian pol who, while being a demagogue looking to resurrect the Russian empire, is also self-serving, and likely self-enriching opportunist, and also appears to have no redeeming value to society.
It is the optimists who run down our own politics while looking to Putin and his ilk for some sort of guidance, leadership, or moral authority. It is the delusionists who think our own politicians are even a gram better.
The folks who look at things clearly and without sentiment understand that both nations are under Satan's supervision, through their respective anti-Christs, Obama, Putin, and each of their associated minions.
