Earlier today Harry Reid was asked to explain why he called the supporters of Cliven Bundy domestic terrorists. He said the following:
Bundy doesn’t believe that the American government is valid, he believes that the United States is a foreign government.
He doesn’t pay his taxes. He doesn’t follow the law. He doesn’t pay his fees.
And if anyone thinks by any figment of their imagination what happened up there last week was just people rallying to somebody that was oppressed — 600 people came in, armed. They had practiced, they had maneuvered, they knew what they were doing. They set up snipers in strategic locations with sniper rifles. They had assault weapons. They had automatic weapons. And they boasted about the fact that they put women in children — in fact one retired sheriff from Arizona boasted that he put women and children so that they would get hit first.

Terrorists were in their no fly zone terrorizing, murdering and torturing wild donkeys. I’ve written to Marco Rubio about this - he will say “being looked into.” They slit wild donkeys’ throats with wire if the helicopters didn’t kill them.

I have been astonished at the unanimity and ferocity with which the Left is confronting this issue. I think they sense in it a true test of central government authority.
Harry Reid & his son, Bob Beckel of Fox’s Five, here in Jacksonville, Florida Stan Swart & Andy Johnson, local progressive radio voices, have simply dug in their heels, trumpeting that this has to be faced down & won. They haven’t conceded even a smidgen of logic to the protestors
All are ignoring the constitutional and general history at work here. This could be a crossroads.
