Like the walrus and the oysters,

Back in the 50's my mom's one extravagance was buying a set of encyclopedias that were in a glass topped book table. In the center shelves were books with short stories and poems. That graphic was like wham a blast from the past. It was in one of those books. Alas,I still have the encyclopedias but the books are missing. Those books drove my love of reading which continues to this day.

I also loved the illustrations in the old Baum Wizard of Oz books.
