This misleading and nonsensical statement shows that this is all about social control, and not about protecting health.
Vaping is not smoking (no combustion involved, and hence no harmful products of combustion). If a current smoker switches completely to vaping from smoking (and many do), then they have quit smoking, even though they are still dosing themselves with nicotine.
Haven’t heard of the need to reduce the allure of marijuana to “a new generation”. Politicians are talking about legalization as a way to lure a new generation of voters to the polls (as if no other issue matters to them, especially the national debt that they will inherit).
Considering that the majority of adult Americans are ignoramuses who voted Democrat, one must conclude that their children will also be ignoramuses and Democrats when they reach adulthood (e.g. the generation of entitlement). So, let them smoke.
Ah, the NWO/CIA’s WaPo wants to tell us that
a) we aren’t allowed to smoke real tobacco
b) we can be naughty and smoke their chemicals
c) it’s naughty for kids to smoke their chemicals. note to kids, it’s cool to smoke new world order chemicals, but not real tobacco
d) pot is fine
e) they know some people will smoke real tobacco anyway, which allows NWO to classify those people as criminals
f) keep working, paying interest, taxes and fines
g) do as NWO tells you
The issue here is actually taxes.
Cigarettes are very heavily taxed at both the state and federal level. The E-smokes are not taxed. So if smokers all switch to the electronic versions the taxes disappear.
It has nothing to do with safety, it has to do with not having as much dosh to bribe lo-fo constituents and actually having less control over people’s lives
This is the same reason that many environmentalist don’t like bicycles. A bike gives you freedom to go where you want, like a car but slower. A bus or subway means you can be tracked and only go where the system takes you.
Simplified:
Anything that the individual does by him(her)self that they enjoy, or provides them with fulfillment, must be eradicated. Nothing is valid or allowed unless it is sanctioned and controlled by the collective.
In the end totalitarians lose and lose badly. ;-)

Would Vaping pot be approved then...seems like its the only smokeable product hedonists like.
“Big Tobacco” hates ecigs as much as “Big Pharma”. The nicotine in the e-juice can be sourced from many plants, not just tobacco. It is a threat to both of their interests.
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, I have seen many of my patients (and myself) get off tobacco and taper down to zero nicotine using ecigs. Other methods may be preferable in one way or another but this works for many that have been unable to kick the habit in other ways.

These arrogant incompetent don't ever have to prove anything scientifically. The feel entitled to simply "proclaim" a scientific truth.
If the ecigs contain ZERO nicotine, can they still tax it?
They are flummoxed by their science ignorance.
Their bottom line is simply ways to tax more without ever having to justify its legality.

Not nearly as big as the plans from the Federal, State and local taxmen...
