House Majority Leader Eric Cantor on Wednesday said he had a phone call with President Barack Obama on the topic of immigration reform. It didnt sound like it was a particularly friendly conversation.
Cantor issued a statement saying, in part:
The President called me hours after he issued a partisan statement which attacked me and my fellow House Republicans and which indicated no sincere desire to work together. After five years, President Obama still has not learned how to effectively work with Congress to get things done. You do not attack the very people you hope to engage in a serious dialogue.

The new amnesty pimp Shaun Kenney hasn’t tweeted in a over a week.
New tone? On his first full day on the job @svkenney the new ED of the @VA_GOP meets w/ immigration reform group
On illegal immigration and any number of other GOPe favorite issues.
Cantor’s creepy cohorts in the republican blecch establishment tried an idea that immediately got rejected:
dumping the problem on the military. Illegal aliens in the military in return for amnesty and citizenship.
they are all idiots. There are three people in government who are not idiots.
Obama doesn’t have to work with them, they don’t have the guts to stand up to him.
Pot meet Kettle!
Exactly right. Eric! The scum is not “sincere” about anything except to do away with our way of life.
Obama doesn't want to work with Republicans on immigration. He wants Republicans to either completely accept amnesty and pass it in the House, so they'll get the blame when problems start occurring, or wants to continue to use it as a wedge issue to portray Republicans as extremists.
I honestly do not care if the Republicans win back Congress or not this year.
Cantor is a slimeball.
Looking around today, does anyone really believe that either party wants to address illegal immigration? It gets lip service when illegals kill people, but otherwise the de facto amnesty proceeds unhindered.
BS! Cantor acting outraged but will vote for amnesty..all smoke/mirrors.
You can follow Eric Cantor by the slime trail he leaves.
Indeed. And it claims to be on our side.
The obvious answer here is that Obama wants the ISSUE. He had NO DESIRE WHATSOEVER to work on ‘immigration’ reform. His agenda is pitting groups against each other and generating hatred. So called ‘immigration reform’ does just that - it pits people against each other.
