I don’t understand the pro-Putin hostility of so many FReepers to the Ukrainians. The comments about the Russians in the picture are very fitting. They’re acting like the Arabs with all that land but determined to have more at someone else’s expense.
There is a real vein of anti-Americanism in these Putinistas. Not all of them but clearly many. They even throw around the same epithets the left does.
I grew up in Berkeley and had a front row seat for all the fruits and nuts there. The KGB thug triumphalist worship is just as nutty as anything I saw in Berkeley. Larouche, Jews for Jesus, Black Muslim bakery, etc., etc. These Putin bootlickers would be right at home swapping stories at Revolution bookstore on Telegraph.
I’ve said the same thing, too. They remind me very much of the Left and loony accusations. Many of the Putinistas have gone from hating Obama, a pretty understandable thing given his partisan and racial tactics, to hating America. Maybe someday they’ll get past it.
