That’s the brake chamber that holds the spring that applies the brakes when air pressure drops below a set point. The chamber itself doesn’t hold pressure. Shooting it won’t stop the MRAP.
Almost...the chamber is double...the front part has the air piston that holds the brake OFF.....and the second chamber has the spring that puts the brake ON when the air pressure is released...

So shooting at the rear of the chamber doesn't do anything UNLESS the front camber and/or the rubber diaphragm is punctured....so releasing the air pressure and jamming the brakes ON.
Should be enough shrapnel and metal parts buzzing around inside the rear chamber to accomplish the task with ease.
