Don't downplay the simple and tried-and-true Sarge. They've been used for 100 years for a reason. Not everyone has access to gunpowder, TNT, fireworks and such. Most everyone can get their hands on some kind of petroleum product, oil or soap shavings, an old glass bottle and a rag.

They're cheap, easy and they work...out to about 40 ft.

20 could take out an MRAP.

They are very effective against conventional vehicles and buildings, tents, supply dumps etc.

Especially if those are fuel and ammo dumps.
