I could tell you a story about being in Honolulu in ‘85, on vacation (wound-up an extra on “Magnum, PI” episode “Little Girl Who”) on a drive with friends around the island, when I parked a rental car, and went into the jungle to take a whiz, saw a trip wire and a claymore on the narrow trail’s sides... I’d walked right into a pot grower’s field in the Ho‘omaluhia Botanical Garden... wow, what a stand of plants. I did get out alive without incident. Finally found a gas station with a bathroom. Should have known; I could smell the pot the minute I got out of the car. And the Hertz people warned me about it; worked at Hertz RAC Corp HQ offices in Manhattan.

Love that show. An oldie but a goodie. I’ll keep an eye out for that episode. If in 85 it would’ve been one of the later season shows. My hubby says I only watch it because of Tom Selleck. In all honesty, I watch it because it reminds me of a time when our country was in better hands.
