It may or may not be effective .but he has only one chance in this race to throw the hail Marys, to take risk, to throw long ..go for the green in 2 .whatever analogy you like. He will never ever win playing it safe and conventional.

It’s not my analysis (I’m not writing a book), it’s my opinion, and relevance is in the mind of the reader.
Try to imagine, if you will, what will happen with “elictile dysfunction” if he wins the primary. How many people will hear it spoken and think it was “erectile dysfunction”? Do think there is any possible chance the leftist media will use that little crudeness to slap him around, much the same way they used Romney’s “47%” comment? Would they try to use this as disrespecting people with a physical problem? How about the radical feminists? Boy , I’ll bet they’ll have lot’s o’ fun with this one. What about during an interview with Bob Schieffer, when he’s trying to make his points about policy and he is asked to defend such a “vile accusation”? Do you think, for a single second, that Lil’ Debbie Scultz, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, et al., won’t try to find a way to turn that into proof that “Republicans are disgusting human beings”?
He is not campaigning in a vacuum and he will not be able to reset everything back to zero after the primary. While his little joke might warrant a couple of chuckles, and maybe raise a few dollars, his ultimate target has to be the Democrat candidate. To that end he needs to not gather a bunch of useless baggage during the primary. He might be the better choice for the Republican rep, but we all need to remember that the most important thing is that we do not give any seats to the Dems, and little things matter. Remember Macaca?
