Finished; fascinating essay!  Seems my bias-gripe was directed to a minor oversight in the eye candy on something that wasn't in the essay itself.  I'm keeping a copy of the piece on my desktop so I can refer to it in future threads --the piece was that well done.

One interesting note, the author seems to favor the idea of abolishing the FDIC.   I mean, assuming we can overcome leftist regulatory political momentum (fantasyland), we first need to address the root cause of bank failures.  Not holding my breath here...
