I had a professor back in Colorado in the early 80’s that said one day we would be fighting over water. I didn’t think it would be against our own government. Thinking about it now - perhaps he did? (Knowing the type of guy that he was).

A saying where I live is- “ Whiskey is for drinkin’, and Water is for fightin’.” The rights of either, has been a matter of federal vs. state control, throughout our US history. There is plenty of whisky, yet, water is only scarce where the real estate demands a new or better supply. Thus, political muscles flex, regardless of reality. Good enough- the eventual idiots born, out of short term prosperity, actually believe the world is always serving them, an unending plate of full harvest. Ain’t so. Never has been, nor never will be...
