I’d take the absolutely batty Ms. Williamson over Henry Waxman any day.
the Slutdasian candidate
She’ll be hawking her books at every opportunity.
Yeah, get the money out of politics and who will be left with influence? The media and entertainment worlds—AKA celebrities.
Probably so, but we’re talking about an opponent to Harry Waxman here. What’s not to love?
HENry Waxman is NOT running!!! Neither is Harry!
I have had personal contact with her (MW) when she was the Lead Minister at The Church of Today near Detroit, Michigan. She is not a warm fuzzy person - very cold. She preached ACIM at this Unity Church.
Stupid as a box of hammers...but boy is she pretty!
Oh, I missed that. Still, compared to the available alternatives, Ms. Williamson is probably just bats.
All you need to know about Marianne Williamson:

Williamson reminds me of the Vril Society of pre-War Germany ... and they produced some demonically inspired technical documents. P_ray this woman does not rise to any level of political importance. She works for the opposition under the guise of Christian God of Chrislam.
I didn’t even know Williamson was still around. She was the New Age Big Thing in the Nineties; she separated a lot of dingbats from their money.
No sale. Breasts are too small.
Personal life
Williamson was born to a Jewish family in Houston, Texas in 1952. She is the youngest of three children of Sam Williamson, an immigration lawyer, and his homemaker wife, Sophie Ann. After graduating from Houston’s Bellaire High School, Williamson put in two years studying theater and philosophy at Pomona College in Claremont, California before dropping out in her Junior year and moving to New York City to pursue a career as a cabaret singer.
In 1979, Williamson returned to Houston, where she ran a metaphysical bookstore. In 1987, she helped found the Los Angeles Center for Living, a support facility for those with life-threatening illnesses. Two years later she began Project Angel Food, to deliver meals to AIDS patients. In 1990, Williamson had her only child, India Emmaline. She refuses to identify or discuss the father of India, instead choosing to raise India alone as an “unwed Jewish mother.”

I thought she was some author who had TV shows made. I guess not.
Hollyweird Limo Lib ping. Thanks nickcarraway.
Note: this topic is from . Thanks nickcarraway.
She knows she has absolutely no chance of winning the nomination. She's just trying to build up some name recognition for herself. After she drops out of the race, she'll go on book tours and hit the college lecture circuit, billing herself as "Former presidential candidate Marianne Williamson."
She doesn’t sound like any of the motivational speakers I have gone to see over the years. A lot of them were legit Christians, for a start.
