What someone is paid is the business of employee and employer, only.

If government forced equal pay for everyone, we’d be living in the old communist Russia. And productivity would match.

IT’s blatantly wrong! The 77 cent number is BS from the 70s and doesn’t hold up to scrutiny.

The only pay gap I'm concerned about is when the people in Washington DC make more money (and have more perks) for ruining the country, than those of us out here working productive jobs.
On the open market, pay differences is what drives ambition.
That is a good thing, is it not?

What we are witnessing is the dims strategy for the mid-term elections. Divert attention from the healthcare disaster and make the issue the economy.
The are re-birthing the war on women mantra and will also push a higher minimum wage to "help" those that aren't the one percenters.

Excellent article - thanks for posting it ! I thought he was serious at first and was ready to get all fired up about it - but as I read on it became obvious that he was being facetious :
"The Equal Pay for Everyone Act would mandate that employers stop discriminating on the basis of economic value, and pay all working Americans exactly the same wage every week, forever."
Classic.

Women is the exact same job don’t make the same money. I have 25 years experience doing what I do. Are they trying to tell me that some person fresh off the boat should make the same amount I make? I don’t think so.

It is often said that working women earn 77 cents on the dollar it is often said that the Easter Bunny lays chocolate eggs.
That doesn't make it true.

If this were really true, then men would not be able to get a job.
Why?
Because businesses would hire only women, if they really could pay them so much less than men.
