Why should they? Maybe the Taxpayers want to hold onto it as an asset. Why should the Federal government sell all the land it owns?

We can go back and forth about government motives. But the fact is that the Fed hasn't sold this land. If it was Citizen B owning the land, we'd say they could repurpose the land however they want. But because it's government, the fact that they allowed grazing means they must always allow grazing?

I'm watching the Reid/China story with interest. But I'm not really buying it either. This battle has been going on for a long time.

When a state becomes a state, it is up to that state to tend to its own territory, not the federal government. In some areas, the feds own millions of acres, and they did not purchase that land from another country. People like myself are tired of the feds usurping and stealing what is a nation..namely to live without being taxes and owned to death for heaven sakes! I can’t believe it..we built a nation without any federal or any government intrusion into our paychecks, up until the world war two, for the most part. Now look at us..we are slaves to a socialist nation power hungry federal government...some states too, like California. I and many have about had it.
