CLARK COUNTY, Nevada — A man has been released after being arrested Sunday during an ongoing dispute over grazing rights between the Bureau of Land Management and a family in southern Nevada, and the family is calling for action.

A federal judge in Las Vegas first ordered Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy to remove his trespassing cattle in 1998, according to reports from the Associated Press. Similar orders were issued in July 2013, and again in October.

It’s too close to Las Vegas. The gov’t supply lines are very short.

Mr. Bundy commented on AJ today that if they can get enough people they are going to go take his cattle back by force.

it’s hard to bring myself to care about someone who hasn’t paid 100’s of thousands of dollars in lease payments when the owner finally decides to kick their butt out.

“it’s hard to bring myself to care about someone who hasn’t paid 100’s of thousands of dollars in lease payments when the owner finally decides to kick their butt out.”

Ok, but remember the FedGov is an illegal cabal run by (either) #1 an illegal alien ENEMY COMBATANT, OR #2 a domestic terrorist with stolen identity, forged Birth Cert, and seven (7) stolen SSNs.

Either way, the moslem regime opposing this rancher is unconsitutional, illegal, and probably literal enemies of the USA.

Remember who’s been hired inside the WH: The Moslem Brotherhood. Security clearance protocols were suspended when Hussein took over so they could hire terrorists and moslems without hassle.

when the owner finally decides to kick their butt out.

The question is, why is it that the BLM is the "owner" ?

“Bureau of Land Management”
fancy nice-sounding name for “you only think you own it. you really don’t. you just have to pay taxes on it. the government really owns it”

why does the federal government own the land...

um... because they purchased it in the Louisiana Purchase and never let anyone homestead it and instead decided to keep it.

The federal government actually owns most of the land in the west

here’s a link to a map off all the land the government still owns:

I’ve often wondered why they still own so much myself, but as long as they do, they are free to do with it what they want in my opinion.

(if it were up to me, i’d sell almost all of it and pay off the national debt)

No. The federal government owns 84.5% of the land in Nevada.

The federal government acquired the land in 1848 under the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo.

Some will argue that the Constitution does not give the federal government the power to own and hold land such as this.

The conflict between the federal government and this rancher arose long before the current muslim regime/illegal cabal you describe.

If I bought some horses and cattle, and hauled them out to some BLM land to graze for free, would a great swarm of idiots rise up to support me when the BLM tried to turn off my free livestock feeding scam?

No? Didn't think so.

There are some real cases of tyranny by federal agencies against people who bought and paid for their property and businesses, paid their taxes, paid for licenses and permits, and people don't get this upset.

I have ZERO sympathy for freeloading deadbeats of any sort.
