In that letter the German intellectuals said that Putin’s speech “appealed directly to the German people” and deserved a “positive response that corresponds to the true feelings of Germans.” Wow that I bad on so many levels. Will they be divvying Eastern Europe now. That doesn't sound so intellectual to me.

Wow that I bad on so many levels. Will they be divvying Eastern Europe now. That doesn't sound so intellectual to me. Well, the Germans and the Russians have gotten along swimmingly before - the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact is a fine example.
