Tz Good post....Many of us grew up riding public transportation. It was wasteful to the point of being stupid.

You never could depend on it being on time so you had to get up an hour early so if you missed the first bus you could get to work on time anyway and the same coming home.

If you wanted to go some where you still faced the prospect of a long walk from the stop and the a long walk back in all kinds of weather.

Having a car is the first step out of poverty.

A co-worker stoppped riding the bus for this reason.(breakdowns/undependable)

Apparently transit spent all the bus maintenance $ on shiny new choo choos all over the Twin Cities metro.
