Strong genes versus mom jeans.
Such as Crimea?
The Ukrainians must develop an asymmetrical warfare doctrine immediately. Once Putin’s army moves in, the Ukrainians must brace themselves and kill as many Russians for as long as it takes to get them out of their country. Kill them anyway possible. The price of freedom and independence next to a cruel, backward and benighted emperor will be high. But freedom and independence is possible. Avenge all the wrongs the Soviets and Russians have inflicted on Ukraine anyway you can once the Russians invade.
If there were no Russian troops in Ukraine, would the West allow a referendum just as was had in Serbia’s Kosovo region?
Territorial integrity didn’t matter then as it was majority Albanians voting for sovereignty in Kosovo. If there were majority Russian areas in Eastern Ukraine, the West would not allow a referendum, and would say the total opposite: territorial integtity must be maintained.
And that is why we are in the situation we are in: Kosovo opend up a major can of worms.
And we will continue to have problems until we have a system that is the same for the East and West/ U.S. and Russia -— with no hypocrisy.
What a bunch of hogwash. No sentient being can believe that Russia does anything other than what it wants, Kosovo or not.
The Ukrainians have no worries.....Obama warned Putin again.
Yep. Smart alliance there. Well thought out, and all under control.
“The Ukrainians must develop an asymmetrical warfare doctrine immediately.”
Outside of some of the NGO-financed radicals, that simply isn’t going to happen, and you know it, as well.
The “new” government in Kiev doesn’t represent freedom, like the idea did during the Soviet breakup. That idea of both economic and personal freedoms now lies within Russia, for many.on the table is
So it was hogwash that Kosovo was part of Serbia? No.
So it was hogwash that letting majority Alnbanians in Kosovo have a referendum opened up a can of worms? No.
We created a mess with the Kosovo referendum, and it has come back to bite Europe and the U.S. in the behind.
I have repeatedly stated that.
Either undo the Kosovo referendum, and let it go back to Serbia, or allow the same process for everyone who desires.
If you don’t then you are advocating hypocrisy. PERIOD.
And whatever happened to the U.S. promising to not expand NATO?
“And that is why we are in the situation we are in: Kosovo opend up a major can of worms.”
Kosovo created the animosity, but a lot of other factors have led to the current situation.
Had Obama not been embarrassed by Putin over Syria, and the Obama-led US Government, as well as the OS NGO’s not stepped up the amount of instability in Ukraine as a result, do you think we’d be here now?
Putin is reacting to situations handed to him on a silver platter by the west.
Also the disasters in the Middle East, with Libya and Egypt, basically told the rest of the world that everything this administration touches turns to crap.
If what the US did in Kosovo is wrong, then what Russia did in Ukraine is wrong. If you choose to fabricate bullcrap excuses for Russian behavior, then stop whining about US behavior.
C’mon, just say George Soros.
“Also the disasters in the Middle East, with Libya and Egypt,”
Putin wasn’t happy about being lied to by Obama about Libya.
When Obama threatened to do the same to Syria, Putin put a few ships on the line and said “NYET!”. Obama panicked and backed down.
Then the angry Obama and his drones saw destabilizing Ukraine as a way to “get at” Putin strategically, and now that is back-firing as well.
Now, that incompetence and foreign policy ideology is handing Putin opportunities to settle old scores, on a silver platter.
There was no referendum in Kosovo. That’s just 0buttcrack propaganda.
I, unlike you, will not fabricate excuses for either side.
I desire zero hypocrisy from both sides, that’s all.
Then you have two problems. You are making excuses, and you are a hypocrite.
