So what can conservatives in SC do about this? The answer? Require a closed primary where only Republicans vote for Republicans.

Still won't be enough. Also need more time between primary and any runoff, as it is in Texas.

Anybody can register and vote Republican in the primaries (and they do) then vote for whomever the Dems want in the General Election.

I have no doubt that my Marxist neighbors would register as Republican to vote for Graham.
