The dems could very well win the seat with the guy that just announced (see below story). I’m hoping this will keep democrats within their own primary, forcing a runoff on the republican side.

Maybe it will, but there would need to be a competitive primary race on the Dim side to really keep them in their own primary. - And there are probably also scenarios where a good conservative running as an independent could defeat Graham: strong Dim candidate, Lindsey and a strong conservative running as an independent in the general election.

And it's also a question of how great the anti-Lindsey sentiment among Republican voters has become.
