At this point? There are only wild speculations. We only know that that a lot of bankers are dead in a relatively short period of time.
I could only state the obvious, which is that these people are liabilities that needed to be shut up. Also, some of the murders included family members, wives and children. That suggests that it is some sort of punishment as well. It is vindictive.
Now who has a motive to shut up a lot of bankers in mid-level positions, angry enough to kill family with them and wants to do it all in a short period of time?
Possible answers:
*Someone who is planning to do something on a large scale soon.
*Someone who has already done something and wants to cover it up.
*Someone with international interests.
*Someone who is completely ruthless.
Obama!
I'm on Gfk's survey list, which among other things is a survey site where the government puts out "trial balloons" for feedback. Friday, I got a survey where one of the questions was: "What our country needs is a fairness revolution to make the distribution of goods more equal." and to rate whether I agree or disagree.
Then for good measure they asked whether I preferred a dictatorship, a government run by the military, a government ruled by subject matter experts appointed by the elected government, or a democratically elected government.
Some of the mafia money got out by being transferred within the same bank to another branch in another country. Some of the money didn't get out, because bankers refused to break the laws or just didn't act fast enough outside of normal banking hours.
The Russian mafia is “ruthless enough,” and they may have a motive for revenge against some bankers who allowed their money to be confiscated and similarly have motive with other bankers to hide the facts that money was illegally moved.
The only country I can think of that would be this brazen to cover tracks are the Russians.
