I’m sure the degree will impress the manager at the local McDonald’s when it’s using it to apply for the fry guy job.
Having had people apply for Help Desk positions with useless advanced degrees, I will tell you when I've hired them in the past, I've always had problems involving arrogance. Therefore, I won't hire somebody like that...they are "overqualified" -- and are basically unteachable.
I would imagine that there are plenty of hamburger-flipping managers who would likely feel the same.
