An intelligent student looks at the job market before deciding on a course of study, and then takes the major most likely to lead to a decent job in an enjoyable profession. They can’t be that intelligent if they choose such a dead-end course of study. Well, not really “study”, because it is not really teaching anything, but I don’t know what else to call it.
