I got mixed views on this. If you got three employees and one is doing a stellar job so you bump him up and the next day the other two are demanding their raise your not going to be so ready to reward the good employee next time.
Every company I have worked for has it stated from the beginning that discussing your pay with another employee is grounds for termination.
