First, about one million public school students said “no way” to their cafeteria menus after Michelle Obamas anti-obesity campaign led to anger and frustration over food that apparently many American kids didn’t want to stomach.
But for those without other options, all that’s left is the power of social media and cell phone cameras when they simply can’t take another bite:
Even a mom got in on the act…
(H/T: Twitchy)
When I was a kid, we used to buy rolls like that from the bargain table at the grocery store-they came in plastic packs of a dozen, and made great catfish and perch chum. We would walk down to the river with fishing gear and a tupperware container of worms or grasshoppers, bait up, toss shredded rolls into the water, wait for the fish to swarm in, throw in our lines with the meat course, and wait-pretty soon it was fresh fish for dinner...
While I’m sure it is salmon topped with caviar and an egg, and meant for human consumption-that thing looks like what is in the little cans of cat food I buy to mix with the dry food I feed my 3 cats...
hey Tex! Other than suffering through this miserably long winter, all’s as well as to be expected - how ‘bout you?
Smart kid you raised there!
Hubby packs both his and her lunch every day. I just make everything. They eat lots of salad sandwiches (chicken, ham, tuna, egg, seafood) and leftovers because lunch meats, like everything else, have gotten outrageously expensive.
I’ve gotten really good making chips and pretzels and sometimes I think I’m feeding snacks to half the 10th grade because when I make them, it seems there are none left when I go to grab some for myself the very next day! Today they had apple pie fries, tomorrow is brownies!
I had a house full of these 10th graders here Saturday morning - not a single one of them will eat anything at school - unless it comes from a vending machine!
Both!
Don't mistake their comments for a sign that they are becoming conservatives. It's social media and they are just putting on an act for each other.
Have you heard of the A&E show “Beyond Scared Straight”?
The delinquents were forced to eat the prison loaf and they were gagging so much that tears were rolling down their faces.
I think one of the kids vomited into a garbage can.
while LOAF might not taste good, i can find things to feed them that, while meeting all the daily nutritional requirements, actively taste bad, and i do mean BAD!!!
the spoiled little darlings could prolly benefit from losing some wright anyway 8^)
“Most of this crap ends up in the landfill.”
That picture above your post looks like everybody’s tray was scraped onto that tray.
