So they should maintain the status quo, do nothing, give up, accept Russian kleptocracy and call it a day??

Because i honestly dont know what you are saying at this point. When your natikn has been looted and abused by another for a century now, do you really want to continue to be with those people?

There is no long term upside in Ukraine continuing to be a satellite state of Russia.

I just don’t see complete independence from the EU nor Russia as a possibility for Ukraine.

Perhaps a split of the country is the only viable solution in the end.
