Lots of folks able to jump on the bandwagon and feel morally superior from the reactions below. Other than quick accessibility, not very different concept than taking a kid for a cross-country trip in a car.
It seems that many of the rugged individuals who profess not raising sissies and trying to protect everyone from everything, do not believe what the profess to preach.
Doctor gave them the go-ahead and they tried to be as prepared as possible - per the article, sometimes sickness happens. What a nation of cowering wimps we are becoming.

Nothing rugged about spending millions in taxpayer dollars being rescued from a situation they put themselves in.

Sounds like the reaction of some “captains” I’ve run across. Who, incidently, I would not take a cross-country trip with.
