The trouble is you don’t know the difference between grinding an axe and actual wisdom.
A government which pretends it can interdict more than a joke’s worth of drugs is going to need to be so big and have such sweeping distortions of the Constitution that all the powers will be there for homosexuals to abuse in demanding gay marriage. You can’t have one intrusion power without the other.
Or, as we used to keep warning liberals, “A government big enough to give you what you want is also big enough to take it away.”
A government which can legislate religion today can ban it tomorrow.
