That sucks. I had hope for Cruz.
I don't think Romney is necessarily better on immigration. Romney has only ever had to have a concrete position on actual practical legislation for 4 years, as governor of MA. He's a real chameleon. Maybe he's a hard right conservative. Maybe he's a true blue liberal. Nobody really knows, since the only way you win in MA is by projecting an image that's a smidgen to the right of Teddy Kennedy. By MA standards, Romney and Scott Brown were Barry Goldwater's ideological siblings. Still, politicians change their views, especially if the pressure from their supporters grows strong enough. Cruz might grow (more conservative) in office after his constituents make their views known.
